New TV Show Idea!

Watching the news this morning, the local station cut to a pre-packaged news segment featuring the national news affiliate guy giving a report ostensibly from somewhere in Japan. Now, I'm not certain what they thought the value added part of him being in Japan was, because he gave his report in front of a nondescript background that could have been pretty much anywhere in the civilized world.

And then inspiration struck for a new television "reality" show.

Let's have all the major news networks compete to see who can get their teleprompter-readers closest to the nuclear meltdown in Japan. They've been hankering for a Chernobyl-sized disaster ever since word first got out that the reactor was having issues - although by this point they're realizing that they might have to settle for a mere Three Mile Island event. Obviously the point of having a reporter stationed in Japan is to foster the illusion that the network is on the cutting edge, willing to risk their reporter's health and safety to get the story.

So let's go all in: Survivor: Daiichi - Outwit, Outlast, Potassium Iodide!

That is all.

Last night I watched one of the Network Anchors cruzing over the disaster area in her basicly empty 10 seat chopper They showed live video of some people on a nice flat roof top waveing and pointing to a SOS signal they had created.

........ gee, if only there was some way to rescue thoose people.

Watched one of the news anchors last night as she peered out of the window of her nearly empty 10 place chopper. She was pointing out the people on the nice flat roof of the Building below with the SOS made from the laundry.

.... Gee....if only there was some way to rescue thoose poor victims......

And Cesium 137, don't forget that! The closest to the explosions wins (for a little bit)!
