Congrats to BabyGirl G! And I think you need a trip to the range and a cold beer...

Jay,

Might I suggest you haunt pawn shops for bargain basement shotguns.

Then go hunting or visit the butcher shop for supplies.

Liberally coat the end of the barrels with blood and brain matter.

Whenever a boy comes to pick her up, have one of those shotguns on the table.
Cleaning it.

Simply ask the young man to hand you a can of solvent with a airy "Blood and brains are so difficult to clean if they dry in place, don't you think"

Either that or meet every one of them at the door wearing your "Guns don't kill people, Dads with pretty daughters do" t-shirt.

How do you sleep at night? I would be up all night worrying...

Personally, I think the best way to handle it is to have BabyGirl G. cleaning her AR when the boy comes to pick her up...

A convent. Surrounded by claymore mines. And an AR under her habit.

Aaaawwwwww!

And this is for you, Jay.

You can do this, Jay. I have two adult daughters, and no dumb animals or teenaged boys were harmed in their upbringing.

None of them had to worry about me, anyway. It was the girls' mother they had to watch out for. My job was to post her bail if necessary.

Jay,

Congrats on the acheivement. Got to love rights of passage. My Lovely Bride and I are currently at tee minus two and a half years until The Bat Mitzvah for Our Progeny. You and I, we're birds of a feather.

Cybus, JayG and I have a range trip scheduled for Sat 5/21. The trip includes a magnum-caliber pistol, and if the 2a Gods are shinig, a Weaterby 7mm magnum rifle.

Jay, if we still manage the range trip for 5/21, I have a little token something that rivals BP's musical interlude. I think you'll approve.

More later ...

Word Verify: minor

Congrats.
I know the feeling my oldest daughter made her first communion last week.

On the other side of the onversation we were laughing with a friend that his younger son would be encouraging the older sister to call her friends to come over in a few years. The joking stopped when we realized it would be our girls.
