Saturday DGC...

Barron sends in the latest addition:

Warren homeowner shoots would-be intruder dead

A 17-year-old is dead after he was shot by a Warren homeowner during an attempted break-in this morning. The homeowner grabbed his shotgun when he heard someone attempting to enter a rear window of the home on Los Angeles, near 9 Mile between Dequindre and Ryan, said Warren Police Commissioner Jere Green.

“He confronted the intruder and fired a shot at him, and hit him in the groin, upper leg area,” Green said. The homeowner then called 911 and reported he’d shot an intruder.
Couple points on this one:

1. The Bradys count this as a child killed by gunfire, regardless that he was committing a crime; and
2. So much for the "shoot 'em in the leg crowd"... Those can be as fatal as chest wounds.

The metric is very simple: Don't want to get shot? Don't break into people's homes. It's really not that tough. Stay the hell out of a man's (or woman's) castle, you got nothing to worry about. And, once again, for those that say your property isn't worth killing someone over, let us remind you that sometimes someone breaking into your house has no interest in your property...

Dead Goblin Count: 156

That is all.

Shotgun... upper leg ... I wonder ...

Yup.

"The shot appeared to have hit the femoral artery, Green said."

So the goblin bled out. Not much chance of surviving that, unless it happens at the hospital front door.

I wonder if goblins bleed green?

Bled his ass out in short order... And yeah, so much for the "shoot em in the extremity" crowd...

The Brady's are just using CDC data, our government dollars at work, which counts up to 20 as a "child".

They conveniently fail to give the context that the age ranges 15-19 and 20-24 have the highest rates of "gun death" overall and that, other than suicide, most of those homicide deaths involve active criminal behavior on the part of the victim (which you have to go to DOJ studies to pull out).

Still it's important to note that it is an anti-gun Federal agency, not the Brady's, that created the gun deaths in "children" meme.

Wonder if that 17 year old punk I shot at in 1983 who was trying to get into my window was considered a Child Statistic? It was the Reagan Admin, after all.

"fatal shotgun blast to the d*ck" is about as good a deterrent as I can come up with for any future PSA's regarding B&E.
