Well, we're a month away from the Fourth Annual Northeast Bloggershoot. The date has been set. Folks have made travel plans (from a good ways away, too!). Figure I'd toss one more update out there to pull everything together.
Date: Sunday, August 7th 2011.
Time: The shoot will start at 10:00 AM and will go until we're kicked out or fall over from sheer exhaustion. This typically happens before 5 PM (and to the best of my knowledge Doubletrouble has never kicked anyone out). Lots of folks are headed home on Monday - and the rest of us will be going back to work, so...
Location: Doubletrouble's sooper seekrit range, the location of which is highly classified. Give me a shout if you need directions/want to arrange a convoy/etc.

We're just about at maximum capacity with the above list, so if you're on the fence, it's time to sh*t or get off the pot (wow, the mixing of metaphors can be messy...) We need a semi-accurate headcount for logistical purposes (i.e. the acquisition of targets/etc.).
Miscellaneous: A few bullet points:
- This is a "pack-in, pack-out" shoot - if you want to bring a 1974 Lincoln Continental to shoot the hell out of, go right ahead. Just be prepared to drag the bullet-riddled carcass out with you.
- Bandit has offered to coordinate the lunch ordering from the local sub shop for lunch; we'll try to circulate the menu in the early part of the day so the food can be acquired.
- There may be a reason to believe the fine tradition of redneck skeet may be continued, so bring a shotgun if you have a favorite...
- For those traveling from afar and staying over in the area, we're trying to arrange a Saturday evening dinner somewhere in the general vicinity of the sooper seekrit range. Contact me for details.
- Again, I keep track of who is attending by the comments to these posts, so if your name isn't on the above list, comment to this thread ASAP so I know you're planning on coming.

How far is that from everything....Remember I live in flyover country and we are a bunch of slopeheads and bible banging gun clinging rednecks whom are clueless as to all you smrt folks on the East Coast and where everything is......So just wondering....
It's about an hour and a half, give or take. If you're gonna be in the Volksrepublik at the time, swing on by!
we're still in. As part of that email can we maybe decide on a hotel those of us traveling can all stay at? I didnt mind the hotel I used last year, it was clean, cheap and close to the G compound but not really close to the range.

I am familiar with the targets. I have a case or two that have aged perhaps 8 years and clearly aren't suitable for their original purpose. Well, I guess if you were a true redneck you wouldnt be fazed by their age :)
In fact, based on their age, you *do* have the right to reject them based on stankosity :)
I plan on attending, but my wife informs me that it's the same weekend as some huge family reunion thing, so she'll have to pass.
Count me in. I'll probably come up saturday. I'll email you with questions about where to stay, if out of state ppl can bring guns, etc. :)
Also, I don't know if there will be a krag there or not but I have a krag bayonet that's begging to meet a stuffed animal ;)
