Dashcam Video Released Of Mayor's Drunken-Driving Arrest
A day after Steubenville's mayor pleaded guilty to charges related to a drunken-driving and other charges, NEWS9 has obtained dashcam video of the incident.
On Tuesday, Domenick Mucci, Jr., 54, pleaded guilty to a first offense of operating a vehicle while impaired, Steubenville city prosecutor John Mascio Jr. said. That's gotta suck, especially for the Chief of Police who was woken up at 3AM to come down to the station to deal with it personally. To his credit, it appears that the mayor did not try to weasel out of punishment owing to his status. To his detriment, it's his third OUI. And he's in OH - is there something in the water there?
Oh, and for those that keep score (like Unc), Mucci is a member of MAIG.
That is all.

I'm confused as to how he pleaded to a first offense, when he's got three other OUI arrests on his record.
Was he acquitted of the other charges? Or plead them down to something other than OUI?
Or perhaps there was enough time between them that this one counted as a first offense?
The big question, in my mind, is: why didn't the "journalist" answer these questions in the article? Reporters these days seem to be curiously incurious when it comes to certain things.

No more so than any other state. It's just that people there aren't as smart about keeping their shenanigans out of the paper.
He's not the first Ohio mayor to face charges either. About 15 years ago a mayor of a town in the central part of the state got mad an assaulted some kid for revving his car's engine while they were waiting in line at a restaurant drive-thru.
Sorry! It's MY FAULT! I must have brought back the DumbAss Virus when I was near all those Massholes last month. ; )

Let Old Domenick know how you feel about drunk drivers and Mayors who don't like guns. Feel free to unload all the scatological upbraiding you deem necessary.
