BOSTON — Former Massachusetts House Speaker Salvatore DiMasi has lost a bid to remain free on bail while appealing his federal corruption conviction.
A three-judge appeals court panel, in a ruling dated Monday, said it did not find a substantial likelihood that DiMasi’s appeal would be successful.
You know what's missing from this story? The fact that DiMasi was the third MA Speaker of the House to be convicted of crimes - in a row. DiMasi was convicted of using the office of Speaker of the House to steer software contracts to big time donors - IOW, politics as usual, only he was dumb enough to get caught.
At least he wasn't completely ignorant of his wife laundering money from her family's offshore internet gambling site, like other MA politicians claim to be...
That is all.

Yeah? How many governors have you put in jail? Ill-i-noise is still numero uno.
