Gunnie Mecca?

After seeing my Friday gun pic last week, reader Brad (not Brad_in_MA) was kind enough to share details and pictures of his trip to the Browning Museum on Ogden, UT with us. Here's his recap:

A lot of the display cases contain Browning's prototypes on top and an actual Winchester, Remington, etc beneath. It was interesting to see what Browning conceived and contrasted with the tweaks the manufacturers made on the production models. Several of the guns on display are Browning prototypes that never went into production.

There is also a display of miniature working firearms collected by Browning's grandson, Val Browning.

I do believe they have the Holy Grail though. There is a 1911 with a placard saying "Inventor Original Model" on display. I assume that is the 1911 prototype.
