Not An Addition, But Still Good...

Woman shoots ex-boyfriend at her Bedford home
BEDFORD, Ohio -- A Bedford woman told police she shot an ex-boyfriend in the face this morning when the man broke into her home.

Police declined to release the names of the victim or the shooter, but said the man was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. He was undergoing an operation to remove the bullet from his face this afternoon, police said.

Shot in the face, but no life-threatening injuries. That's one lucky dude - this woman should have had a shotgun like the young mom featured in DGC 232. While the preferred outcome would be a deceased goblin (because he can still come back at another time), at least this woman won't have to live with having killed someone - no matter how much they might have deserved it. Hopefully he'll see the error of his ways and leave her alone after this - or, failing that, she gets a larger caliber firearm in case of a "next time".

Again, it's worthy of note that to the Brady's, this is an incident of "gun violence" and nothing else. You see, it doesn't fit their narrative that guns are evil and have no place in a civilized world; nor does it help advance their campaign of civilian disarmament. Even in the 2000s, there are still violent predators walking among us who will prey on those they consider weak; there are those who are ruled by their base instincts rather than such "civilization".

It is the firearm, so aptly noted by my good friend Marko (not Major Caudill) that truly is civilization...

That is all.

A 90 year old man was shot in the face yesterday but survived and filled the intruder with three shots.

These faces are tough.

"These faces are tough."

Or in some cases, there's just nothing vital behind them.

Good point Dave.

Sometimes, you read a news story, and just say "Damn it! 2 inches to the right..."

But any day someone uses a Firearm in Legal Self-Defense is Good Day in my book. The DGC just makes it better, kind of like being asked "You want a second helping of dessert, sir?"
