No charges against Lancaster man who killed intruder
LANCASTER A Lancaster homeowner who shot and killed a relative attempting to forcibly enter his home on Thursday will not be charged, authorities say. From the rest of the story, the only news was that they were "related". Given that the recently deceased was a felon - drug possession, receiving stolen goods, OUI - he most likely wasn't legally carrying the gun he had on him as he was breaking into his relative's house. There have been potential additions I've declined because they seemed more "crime of passion"-type crimes - folks defending themselves against angry relations, but I think that this one falls squarely in the DGC realm.
Investigators have determined that the man who fatally shot Curt Alan Reed, 46, was justified in his actions after Reed tried to break into his home just before 6 p.m. Thursday, according to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Dead Goblin Count: 263
That is all.
