Springville man shoots and kills suspected home invader
[pauses for huzzahs and cheers to die down]SPRINGVILLE -- In the early hours of Thursday morning, a man sneaked into a Springville home where police say he changed out of his wet clothes, found a tortilla and made himself a wrap, and then went upstairs and demanded money from the home's residents.
But instead of turning over cash, the man living at the home shot and killed the intruder.
You know, that takes guts. This dude breaks into the house. He helps himself to some grub. Then he goes and rousts the occupants, demanding to be taken to an ATM to get some money. Of course, he got himself shot in the chest for his troubles, but you can't blame a goblin for trying. He claimed to have a gun on his person, which is no different than had he actually pulled a gun on the homeowners, but no firearm was found.
It still goes in the "W" column!
Dead Goblin Count: 259
That is all.

Good morning Jay,
Just a quick thought. You should start adding these to a google map with the little flag thingy marking the locations.
I'm sure if you started a different webpage you would start to get alot more submissions.
This way you could keep track of POSITION gun uses :)
Just a thought to add more to your plate.
It's not as clear in the newspaper article, but the radio report last night specified that the goblin found folded laundry on the couch and changed out of his wet clothes into some of the homeowner's. Creeptastic.
To tweak an old joke:
"I once shot a goblin in my pajamas."
"What was the goblin doing in your pajamas?"
"I don't know, but now I have to go buy new ones..."
At least the crook didn't die hungry...
Seems like telling everyone that an intruder claimed to have a gun should be SOP any time an intruder gets exposed to acute lead poisoning.
Too dumb to live, this one. Just hope he didn't have the chance to spread his stupid genes any further...
The poor little choirboy!
