Zombie Junior!

Actually, it's preparedness for the short people in your house.

Unc talks about involving your kids in preparedness training.

Go. Read. So often we discuss what's in our go-bags, but the kids get overlooked. They're a part of your family, they should be a part of your plan, especially if they're on the younger side. I've got TheBoy thinking about having gear ready - fortunately, as a Boy Scout he's got much of the gear already stowed for camping trips - but it's always a good idea to think ahead.

Because, you know, what good is being ready for the zombocalypse if you're constantly interrupted by "Are the zombies there yet?"

That is all.

Kids DO need go bags, and they can be stored by the door pre-staged...

The Roadgunner podcast just did a real good interview with Jason Christensen on this subject. Well Go Bags in general and what he puts in his kids bags. One thing is not to over look things to keep kids entertained, cause chances are there ain't gonna be any TV, which makes me think we may need to teach our kids how to be entertained by something besides an idiot box is part of being prepared.

lol - and yes, good point. They should be aware.

We have had discussions around evacuating in cases of bush fire and what needs to be packed and taken.

We haven't got to the BOB ready stage yet because a)I'm too much of an optimist and b) this sort of things requires being more organised than I am :)
