Day Three...

Sitting in the press office taking part in an interview with the NRA-ILA's media liaison is a good way to start the day. They're trying to reach out to bloggers as media - not "new media", not "electronic media", which is a refreshing event in and of itself. The general attitude towards bloggers is improving, with fewer and fewer folks disdaining those of us who choose to cover news and events independently. It's nice to see positive outreach, moreso to folks that quite often can and will be critical of the NRA at times.

Off to check the floor for the third day; there's still some exhibitors I have yet to check out, and a few others I'd like to stop in and see a second time. A lot of folks are going home today, so there will be less competition for schwag more room on the floor; this is the hard part of the convention - it's sad to say goodbye to friends I don't get to see as often as I'd like.

Starting to feel human again, DaddyBear brought up some very tasty bourbon whiskey (Woodford Reserve, for those who ask, and yes, DaddyBear *is* sitting right next to me as I type this) and Awelowynt brought some Australian rum that I had to try as a SOP to jigsaw. So it's not unusual that I had a first last night - I was administered a field sobriety test by Matt G. (who pronounced me fit to drive the elevator back to my floor... but not much else). Heh.

Okay, time to close up the computer (I am really liking the iPad for mobile blogging - shaddup Alan) and hit the floor...

That is all.

Jay,

If you'd told me you like Labrot and Graham Woodford Reserve, you could have come back for a drink in my room at SHOT Show! A friend of mine in KY turned me on to it a few years ago when I asked him what good bourbon they drink up there. I love WR's light vanilla notes...

The NRA is catching up to the National Shooting Sports Federation then!

Actually, if you recall, I escorted you back to your room. Wasn't any way in hell I was risking you make that walk by yourself, sir. :)
