NBC to do ‘internal investigation’ on Zimmerman segment
In a nutshell, NBC edited out critical portions of the 911 transcript to make George Zimmerman appear as though he were profiling Martin based solely on race. They deliberately omitted the dispatcher specifically asking Zimmerman about the suspect's race, instead grafting together two different segments from Zimmerman to turn his words into something different.
Here's the original transcript:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. Or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.Here's what NBC broadcast:
Dispatcher: OK, and this guy — is he black, white or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.
Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good. He looks black.That completely and utterly changes the context, doesn't it? It makes it look like Zimmerman is issuing a blanket condemnation of Martin based solely on Martin's skin color, rather than responding to a specific, pointed request from the 911 dispatcher. The question is, why is NBC trying to assist the race warlords in goading this into another race riot?
It seems like every 20 years or so we have a major conflagration based on race. 1992 was the year that the verdicts in the Rodney King police brutality case blew up and engulfed CA in racial unrest. Riots over the busing of minority students into predominantly white neighborhoods in Boston exploded in 1974. 1968 saw widespread riots in DC, LA, and Chicago in the wake of Dr. King's assassination.
The Zimmerman case should be studied as the "perfect storm" in media/liberal projection. It hits the trifecta for media bias - race relations, "Stand Your Ground" rulings on self-defense, and concealed carry. Finally, after 25 years, they had the "blood in the streets" that they gleefully proclaimed would happen when Florida started allowing concealed carry. And it was a minority, to boot! Never mind those inconvenient facts that keep getting in the way!
Is the mainstream media so hurting for relevance that they will deliberately fan the flames of racial unrest?

The result of the internal investigation will be a big bonus and promotion for the tool that did the editing. This is the network that rigged trucks to explode, after all.

But I think it's going to Fail, just like having "Mob Rule" in various State Houses, "Occupy____", Starbucks Boycotts, etc. The Vast LEFT Wing Conspiracy seems to think that what worked in the '60s can still work today. And the American People are no longer shackled to the 6:30 Evening News and the Weekly News Magazines. Today, we have the Interwebs, and when an old Hippie Speaker of the House stands in front of the Camera and tells the People "We have to Pass the Bill to find out what's in it," well, that Manure don't Fly no more.
Keep this mind. When the Teleprompter Jesus came out of Nowhere and Unicorns started Farting Rainbows, 56,375,761 Official FEC Votes were NOT for the Anointed One (Repubs and Indies and Wookies combined). Yes,BHO won by 13,550,397 votes, but Stalin would have beaten any Republican that was running that year.
But 4 years later, the Era of the New Soviet Man hasn't Magically appeared, and this time around, Barry can blame Bush all he wants to. His Master Plan to Fundamentally Transform America seems to be stuck. And since his Power Base is a Loose Confederation of various Left-Wing entities who don't think they're getting their "Fair Share" of the Pie, I don't think they'll be another Re-Anointment this Election Cycle.
But if the Republitards keep playing as if it's Politics as Usual, then he could win.
But if the African-American Community lets their Hot-Heads try a Race War, then they will lose. Not enough Manpower, not enough Guns on their Side. But that would be an excuse for the current "Occupiers" of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. to start some Shenanigans, so stay tuned.

Because riots make good TV news. Lots of action, lots of flames, lots of drama, and no spin doctors trying to tell us the next day what the mob really said.
NBC isn't worried about staying relevant, they just want to stay profitable. TV news is an entertainment business first.
What's really ironic is that they never realize ...
1) every time they give their Boyfriend Obama a chance to pontificate on matters of race, he will do so;
2) every time he does so, he will "act stupidly" and insert his foot directly into his mouth.

If your Al Sharpton or Jessie Jackso, race riots can be very good business. Lot's of TV time and after the fact you may get money from Uncle Sam for some bs project to bring the communities back together or rebuild the damage you incited.
Just don't count on Al or Jessie to lead the bayonet charge.

A few years ago, I had two buddies involved in a killing, one on either side of the knife. It got a ton of national press including the network tabloid show like dateline and 20-20.
Anyhow, there was a photo of both guys (above) and a girl. one network aired the photo as original. Other network edited the deceased fellow out of the pic before airing it to give it a whole different spin.
I think I may have at least one of those on VHS and may be able to dig up a copy of the other.
there were a lot of lessons coming out of that whole mess, and one clearly was to not trust what is being piped into your head.
Thinking more about it, not sure if it was media sensationalism or racism, but in my comment above the decedant can only be described as lily and the other fellow not so much.

A black man was shot to death in Boston, MA over the weekend. I only knew it because I saw a small blurb in the newspaper. His murderer was likely black, so it's not a crisis.
Where are the people pressing the ongoing murders of black men by other black men? I guess it's OK if it stays in the 'hood and doesn't scare the white people.
