Last Sunday a car crashed into a bakery in Methuen knocking over a display case, and a a toddler who was in the bakery with his mother. No one was injured.
Yes, yet another example of "Sudden Acceleration Syndrome", also known as "another old person behind the wheel who has no business driving a car". What's infuriating is that no charges are being filed, which means, most likely, that they won't even have their license taken away.
How many more children must be injured or killed before we stop bowing to the pressure of radical pro-car death groups like the AARP?

uh huh.
One of my ex-neighbors drove into a house. When the police/fire/ems arrived, she said her husband was driving (she had scooted into the passenger seat).
He was at home, in his wheelchair.
scary.
Aren't you being a little hard on the lady ? She didn't know she had driven into a building. She didn't even remember touching the brake or accelerator. All this fuss and she was just trying to get to Fenway for a Red Socks game.
One thing that is handled the same as with guns is the CAR did everything. Blame the inanimate object. Just like a gun can sit untouched on the table for a million years without going off, a car can sit for a million years without crashing if nobody gets in to drive it.
