MA: You're More Likely to Escape Prosecution for Murder Here...

Alternate title: MA: Exporting Killers to a State Near You...

Police: Alabama college shooting suspect killed her brother in 1986

(CNN) -- The biology professor charged in the shooting deaths Friday of three faculty members at the University of Alabama in Huntsville fatally shot her brother more than 23 years ago, police said Saturday.

Amy Bishop Anderson, who was then known as Amy Bishop, was never charged in her brother's death, Braintree, Massachusetts, Police Chief Paul Frazier told reporters. Police records detailing the 1986 incident are missing, and a log of the incident lists it as an accidental shooting, he said.

Isn't that convenient? She shoots her brother in the chest and has it declared an accident, and then all records are mysteriously lost. If only we had stricter gun control!

This story, quite frankly, stinks to high heaven:

However, Frazier said an officer, who was involved in the case and still works for the department, told him that Anderson shot her brother in the chest during an argument. The woman allegedly fired a shot in her bedroom without hitting anyone, then argued with her brother and shot him. She fired yet another round in the home before fleeing, Frazier said.

Police arrested Anderson after she pointed a weapon at a vehicle near the house in an attempt to get the driver to stop, but it drove on, Frazier said.

But during the booking process, Chief Polio called and told the officers to release her, Frazier said.

So, regardless whether the shooting of her brother was accidental or not, she still committed assault with a deadly weapon. And was not charged. Nor investigated. The chief called, had her released, and then somehow the records got "lost". How much you want to bet that lost in this case = shredded? I mean, I'm sure it's mere coincidence that mom happened to work for the PD, right? And our reps don't escape this sordid tale, either:

Buker told him that the shooting appeared accidental and the two men agreed she should be released to her mother, Polio said. A request was then filed with the office of District Attorney Bill Delahunt to conduct an inquiry, but Delahunt never did so, he said.

Oopsie. The DA just happened to "forget" to conduct an inquiry. How convenient. This fucking psycho kills her brother in an argument, threatens people at gunpoint, and DOES NOT HAVE A FUCKING THING HAPPEN TO HER because her mom knows the chief. No investigation, no criminal record, and now three people are dead because the state of Massachusetts is corrupt as shit.

Chief Polio and Congressman Delahunt, the blood of three innocent people is on your hands.

That is all.

Good story Jay. I knew that she had killed before but not that there had been a cover up. How bizarre is MA? Unfortunately nothing is going to happen due to the fact that the US only tolerates free speech only in the certain knowledge that no one is listening.

Yes, I thought it a coincidence that the records were lost. I wonder when they lost them? 23 years ago , or a few days ago?

I blame George Bush.

And MA wants more gun laws right?

See Ya

And I'm sure this has NOTHING at all to do with the reason Delahunt is thinking about "retiring". Nothing at all. link

It does stink, makes me wonder what on earth was going on back then. What did the police chief get out of the cover up?

She has certainly gone from being an unlikely candidate for a mass murder to what seems like a ticking time bomb! A sad situation to say the least.

I like MA a lot less every day, Jay.

Like Lenny Bruce said: "In the halls of justice, the only justice is in the halls." That's how NH collects the likes of "Stix" Addison on our death row and Hillary's campaign bomber, Leeland Eisenberg.
This crap is a common theme in some parts of Mass. I don't know if the civil service exam / vetting process is to blame, but I've never seen as much of this in other states as in Mass. During my misspent youth, I was living in a town near Boston where one of the local cops went crazy and shot up the cop shop with a tommy gun from their own armory. The same Dept. had an LT. who robbed a bank, along with cops from another dept (remember the MDC?), stole the civil service exams along with his cop kid, and went to jail for selling coke in Mississippi. The judge in MS wouldn't send the guy back to MA until he served his full sentence there b/c of the corruption in MA. Think about that, the deep south judge thinks MA is too corrupt! Of course the chief at that time doesn't know nothing about nobody.
If your dad worked out of Troop A in the 80's he probably knows exactly what I'm talking about or look for the book "The cops are robbers too." The staties called it the wild west down there. The place was just a collection of bad apples with a few exceptionally good guys getting their reputations trashed too. Funny how this stuff seems to happen more in progessive states like MA, NY, CA and NJ.milin

Can we just vote MA and CA out of the Union for being a gross embarrassment?

AND, it gets better! She was also investigated for involvement in the letter-bombing of a Harvard professor in 1986!

Is his name really Polio or did you just call him that because he's lame?
