Rare Animal Sighting...

Big news today, folks! We have a rare animal sighting right here in Massachusetts. The other day, in the city of Boston, we saw the appearance of the Massachusetts Pander Bear:

'Yours is a peaceful faith'

Governor Deval Patrick told more than 1,100 Muslims at a Roxbury mosque yesterday that he knew many have encountered discrimination and racial profiling since Sept. 11 and that he would do everything in his power to combat those problems.

Speaking at what Muslim activists described as the first such forum with a Massachusetts governor, the 53-year-old Democrat pledged to take seven steps to help Muslims in the state.
Yeah, because when I think of states that are just plain intolerant to those that want to kill Americans, Massachusetts is at the top of the freakin' list, isn't it? Unless those muslims are trying to become law-abiding gun owners, I'd say that the state of Massachusetts hasn't discriminated against them in the least. I find it amusing - and here by "amusing" I really mean "infuriating" - that Governor Patrick would like to throw me in jail for buying more than one gun a month, but wants to end non-existent discrimination against muslims...

Let's play "Spot the Money Phrase" for a moment, shall we?
Patrick, who is running for reelection this year, has attended similar forums with people of different faiths, including Christian and Jewish residents
BINGO! We have a winner! Patrick is in the political fight of his life - his wife may have to give up her six figure job and her personal assistant, you know! - and is willing to kiss every ass put in front of him for votes. He's running scared, seeing the election of Scott Brown to the Senate seat formerly held by Ted Kennedy as a harbinger of the November elections, and he's been vasolining his lips for some serious ass osculation ever since.

Better keep kissing, "Cadillac"...

That is all.

One thing that I happen to notice over at the Globe is the fact that they block comments on these controversial articles.

The same story was over at the Herald and allowed comments, most of which were negative :)

Those who appease a Tiger do so in the hope that the Tiger will eat them last.

Jay,

Now I know the *real* reason for the shaved head. It makes it easier to remove the duct tape when the "head-'splodin'danger" is over. With putzes like that in office, there's no wonder duct tape sales are up!

New commenter here - been reading you for about a week and, being a native New Englander originally from Auburn, MA - now living in CT - I couldn't resist commenting on this one. Don't really remember how I got here either...

This doesn't surprise me coming from the liberal wasteland. However when you consider how many people from the Boston area died on 9/11, you'd think that perhaps a bit more sensitivity on the subject would be in order.

But then - Deval is only a politician, poor man doesn't really know any better.
