The Count Marches On...

Reader Dan e-mails the following heartwarming tale:

Resident shoots, kills intruder

VICTORVILLE • A Victorville resident shot and killed an intruder in his home Sunday morning, according to officials from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responded to an audible alarm at a residence in the 14100 block of Calle Contesa Road in Victorville at 3 a.m. Sunday. Deputies found a man with gunshot wounds inside the home.

The story is, as they usually are, short on specifics, but it certainly sounds like the homeowner was well within his rights to shoot the goblin. He was attacked and responded with appropriate force - anyone that breaks into your house and then attacks when challenged is presenting a clear and present danger to the homeowner. Getting your damn self shot is an occupational hazard should you decide to enter the field of home invasion...

Dead Goblin Count: 72

That is all.
