Suspect in deadly Johnston County shootout caught
Kenly, N.C. — Johnston County authorities arrested a 17-year-old who they believe fled Friday evening when an attempted robbery turned into a shootout with a restaurant owner that left one suspect dead.
...
Sheriff Steve Bizzell said that an armed man came into the store around 6 p.m. Friday and pointed a gun at the store owner's 13-year-old son. The store owner, 59-year-old Donnie Creech, came out of a back room carrying a weapon. In an exchange of gunfire, the suspect was hit but ran outside.
Yeah, you point a gun at my kid and I will shoot you dead, too. That's one of those "shoot to stop but there ain't nothing more stopped than dead" moments right there. Threaten my kid, die on the spot. The goblins made a fatally flawed selection of victims, and one paid the ultimate price. It's too bad this wasn't a two-fer, but we'll take the one.
Dead Goblin Count: 75
That is all.

Hoping DGC gets into Triple Digits before the Holidays. Of course, as stupid as some of these thugs are, that might not be a problem.
I would say "What the hell kind of cowardly asshole aims a gun at a 13-year-old??" . . . but I think we know what kind.
The Dead Goblin kind.
