Amazing...

So TheBoy had his last game of his AAA baseball career last night. His team went undefeated the entire season - and last night they continued their streak through the post-season with a 12 - 0 win.

TheBoy even got to pitch, albeit only for one inning. He's got to work on his control a bit throwing a couple strikes - and walking three batters before a pop fly ended the inning.

But in the bottom of the sixth inning (they only play six) he redeemed himself defensively by making an amazing catch that ended the inning and the game. He was on third base, and the ball was hit solid to shortstop. As the shortstop and the second baseman looked at each other, TheBoy comes screaming over from third and makes a picture-perfect catch.

It was one of those Hollywood moments, it really was. Even though his team was far ahead, it was still the play that finished the game - and my son made it in dramatic fashion.

Right now, in Boston, they're preparing a huge parade for the Stanley Cup champion Bruins. I'm sitting in a Friendly's with my son watching him eat a heaping plate of M&M pancakes. I wouldn't trade places with anyone in the world right now.

Congratulations, TheBoy!!!

That is all.

Good on the boy. You may want to have a word with the restaurant staff, however; running out of blueberries and forcing him to settle for M&Ms.

Of course, if they had LOST the game, I'm sure you would have been throwing Molotov Cocktails into Police cars, just like the Canucks. After all, being a Good Loser in the 21st. Century is defined by how much Property one destroys, or how one can blame everyone else for their crappy play, i.e. LeBron James, right?

Hmmm, wonder where that Attitude came from? Must be Bush's Fault, I guess.

Anyway, Congrats on the Win. Now tell him to work on his Trigger Squeeze!
