Heh. Brad_in_MA sends in this happy little piece of schadenfreude:

Occupy Boston expels 2 finance team members

Occupy Boston has booted two members of its finance team after accusations they spent money without permission and tried to set up a fundraiser with the city teacher’s union.The group identified the accused in a blog posting and in an apologetic letter to the teacher’s union. The Herald is withholding their names because they have not been charged.

"We strongly recommend against giving them any funds for any reason whatsoever," the group said in a letter to the teacher’s union. "We regret that our first point of contact with you had come with such a negative tone. We cherish your support and look forward to working with you in the future."

They "spent money without permission" and "tried to set up a fundraiser with the city teacher's union"! OMG! Firing squad at dawn! Sounds to me like someone on the finance team didn't like the way things were going and decided to take matters into their own hands - and wound up getting their ass in a sling over it. This is me crying real tears here.

It does make you wonder, though, exactly why they're coming down so hard on someone for trying to set up a fundraiser. The ass-kissing gets pretty thick towards the teacher's unions - just who are they trying to appease? Isn't it the very height of irony that the Occupy group - which has prided itself on being leaderless, formless, and of-the-people blah blah blah is behaving just as rigidly as any Fortune 500 company?


In any case, it's always a good thing when communists take it in the shorts...
