The Cobbler's Children...

Gunsmith extraordinaire Wally is fond of referring to the "Cobbler's Children" when asked about his own firearms projects - the professional [insert here] is so busy taking care of others that they neglect their own. Hence why my pic is last - I was too busy writing up the rest! Okay, so I just wanted mine separate, but I thought it made an interesting segue...

Darkness-B-Gone

Smith & Wesson M&P45 with LaserLyte pistol bayonet (natch!) rail, and mini-light and a LaserMax Uni-Max rail-mounted laser sight. Okay, so the pistol bayonet isn't part of the home defense set-up (it won't fit in the underbed safe with it on), but the laser helps aim and the micro-light lights up the night...

And 21 rounds of Winchester Ranger 175 grain .45 ACP +P frangible rounds for any goblins caught in the glare...

That is all.

Cool, but bulky and gimmick laden. With all that crap hanging off the pistol, I'd just as soon use the M4 and improve ballistics, accuracy and capacity. Or, use the 12 gauge and get things done with one or two rounds. Why use a handgun that can't be carried or tucked away discreetly?

Jay, Checked out the Snub-a rooney.
Damn what a J-frame! Brought a smile to my face. With the bayonet, just make sure no one backs in to your back up piece!
