Unfortunately, "www.marooned.com" is taken (but not currently in use), and "www.marooned.net" is being auctioned at a price you'd need to smoke crack to agree to, so my options are limited. I'm looking for something that incorporates the "marooned" aspect as well as significantly shortening the link itself.
I've got a couple ideas of possible URLs to use, but I'm not married to any of them. The criteria are that they incorporate "MArooned" or "jayg" in some way, and don't approach the length of my current URL (IOW, no "www.jaygismaroonedinmassachusetts.com"...). I thought I had a winner when I set up a Wordpress back-up blog with "stuckinmass" until Unc pointed out that it looked like "stuckinmyass.com"...
Thoughts, suggestions, ideas are all welcomed; and if you're the person that owns "www.marooned.com", let's talk!
That is all.

Given what the laws have done to folks like TJIC, perhaps "stuck in my ass" is not as wildly inappropriate as it might first sound...
You know that there's a new Top Level Domain ".xxx", don't you? And you are the home of Friday Gun Pr0n.
;-)
WV: "bedulood". Sorry, not going there.
So "minuteofberm.com" isn't in the running?
WV - conutin: "Ask your doctor if Conutin® is right for you."
If you haven't tried yet, you can get a custom domain from blogger. I was able to change the url of mine, thus shortening considerably.
Yeah, shooter-ready.blogspot vs. therebelyell
The .com was taken, but .net, .org and a couple of .'something or another' i don't recall were available.
Couldn't beat for $10 a year ...
Also, either url will take you to your page which is good if some readers have you bookmarked.
Maybe a .us domain? "StuckInMA.us" maybe? (It's not currently in the DNS.) Domain names aren't case sensitive but on a card you can print them any way you want.
I also like StuckInMA - and the .com is also available.
How about ma-rooned.com?
Both marooned.met and marooned.ws are available, it seems.
Oops. marooned.me
OOH. "www.stuckinma.com" has a ring to it. Hmmm...
"www.ma-rooned.com" is also really good. Since URLs are lowercase, MArooned doesn't translate, so having the dash in the middle makes sense...
There was a movie called Marooned in 1969; perhaps there was a planned remake that generated interest in securing the URL?
wherethehellisjay.com
How about StuckIn.Ma
There may be a ".ma.us" domain, in which case you could be stuckin.ma.us ...
MstuckA
It's clever. Then we can also call you Ms Tucka!
MAroonedinMA.com and variations are available.
I'm kinda fond of stuckinMYass.com
Might just get that for myself, if you aren't interested......
jayg.us
Short enough for ya?
The one you really oughta use is: "movingtoTexas.com"
No need to thank me, I'm only too happy to help!

jaymarooned.com is apparently available also, if you'd prefer to stick with the .com appendation.
Dude, I tried combining your 2 tags as one item and found no link. It should be worth a try to you. I did not print it here to prevent some pirate jumping on it.
marooned.us. Or, with a hat tip to The Honorable B. Bunny : ultra-marooned.com
:D
Heh. www.whattamaroon.com...
I think we have a winner!
jayginma.com would seem pretty natural.
Adding a hyphen to kinda get the URL you want (like ma-rooned.com) could be hard. The hyphen isn't spoken easily. I remember when the movie Without Limits released in 1998 their URL was without-limits.com. If you went to withoutlimits.com you got a porn site. Ooops.
MA-Marooned.com?
When I Google searched the text string "MA-marooned" the first two sites noted were:
MArooned
stuckinmassachusetts.blogspot.com/
and
MArooned: Again, It's Not Just MA...
stuckinmassachusetts.blogspot.com/2011/.../again-its-not-just-ma.htm...
Claim what already is yours.
http://goo.gl/ is google's URL shortener - just keep clicking 'shorten' until something funky turns up.
Or you can always use something like 45or9mm.com
I work in e-commerce and my advice is to only use .com as an ending. No-one remembers any other one.
