Now there's a way to have a rockin' good time and still not come away with too much hearing loss. I've passed this information on to my good friend Wally, as York Arms (get that website done, Wally!) is the premiere suppressor manufacturer in the Northeast (soon to be worldwide). Remind me - I need to get together with Wally, because I owe him a review of his .22LR suppressors.

I like the concept a lot - reminding people that suppressors are, in fact, legal to own and use (well, in most places...) One of the biggest things I want people to take away from my new shooter outings is just how badly Hollywood distorts firearms and shooting in general. Guns don't blow people through walls. Shooting a gun is loud. Recoil is significant. Hollywood is even worse on things like suppressors - how many people that suppressors actually make guns silent as a result of James Bond and other "silenced" weapons?

Education is the cure for the disease of ignorance, and in this case, you also get to experience something unique...

That is all.

Make sure you have the address correctly plugged into your GPS. I doubt you'll be able to pull off the side of the road and listen for the Gunshots if you get Lost.

Just Sayin' ; )

That's a great range!
I'm going! Plinking steel targets without sound of gunfire? Just that sweet, ringing steel? I'm in!

Cormac,

If I could ask a favor?

An AAR would be AWESOME, if you wouldn't mind...

Holy cow! Maybe I need to go there on my way back to Atlanta. Of course, that would mean that Mrs. Borepatch gets to stay in Monroe, LA rather than New Orleans and go to a silenced shoot rather than Bourbon St.

Damn.

Great timing considering the email I received today.

"Today, after hearing your support for this TSRA-NRA-backed common sense hunting reform, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission voted unanimously to legalize suppressor use while hunting."
