One More Day...

And I bring home the new surprise addition to the G. armory...

Those at the Bloggershoot already know what it is, so no fair chiming in. I've posted a couple of hints so far:
  • Made by Smith & Wesson
  • Fires .38 Special
And I'll add another hint:
  • Someone at the bloggershoot carries one.
That ought to nail it down pretty tight right there...

That is all.

A Rohm RG .38? The pride of the Vaterlant?

I'm guessing a 642.

Shootin' Buddy,

Heh.

Interestingly enough, there's a guy on the local board selling a Rohm .22LR revolver for $100.

I'm soooo tempted...

Justin,

Nope. If I were getting a hammerless it'd be a 442. But I'm not... ;)

I forget if Marko has a model 13 or 19, but I'm guessing 3" K-frame?

If it's a 638 do NOT go with +Ps. Very ouchie on the hand.

Uh, Atom Smasher?

I'm the owner of the Snubbie from Hell™. Lighter than the 638, and takes .357 Magnum...

So, not a 340 or 360?

That reminds me of something, Jay. A while back we had a retail chain that went out of business & they had stuff at unbelievable prices. I saw a shirt & thought immediately of you (filed under "you might be a gun nut if...") so I picked up a size M just in case you didn't have it & it fit.

It's ready for mailing, if you don't have it. Let me know if you want it & it fits (I think you posted that you're down to mediums) I'll see if I can't get it in the mail sometime this century.

No need for thanks, it cost less than a pair of socks. Least I can do for my long-time political bulletin board buddy. :)

Okay, TheAxe got it. Smith & Wesson model 13-3 (.357 Magnum), round butt, with 3" barrel.

Former FBI gun.

At a price that I could not pass up, even though I already own four .357 Magnum revolvers (2 of which are S&Ws).

Ricky,

LOVE the shirt - you have the address, and thanks buddy!!!

No reason to attempt to rationalise such a purchase. It is a solid investment.

Pre-lock Smiths will only rise. Buy it, oil it and forget it for 10 years.

Oh that's right, SFH definitely beats 638 in the Ouchie division, hurt hands down.

Congrats on the new S&W too! My "next purchase" unfortunately transmogrified into a new water pump for my Jeep today. :(
