Someone Needs Killin'...

Missing Florida girl's body found in Georgia landfill
(CNN) -- The body of a small child found in a south Georgia landfill has been identified as that of a missing 7-year-old Florida girl, Clay County, Florida, Sheriff Rick Beseler said Thursday morning.

John Bankhead of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation told CNN the state medical examiner will positively determine whether the body belongs to Somer Thompson, who went missing earlier this week. An autopsy will be conducted in Savannah, Georgia.

She's only marginally older than BabyGirl G. Words cannot adequately express the horrors I would be prepared to unleash on the subhuman who did this to my child. Suffice to say, I cannot think of a punishment that would be too severe for this monster. Heck, I would gladly donate blood if it meant they could keep him alive longer for more torturing. The only ray of sunshine here is that both Georgia and Florida are states that have and use the death penalty. No matter which state tries this piece of garbage, he'll be looking at a needle at the end.

Assuming, of course, that the next intended victim's daddy (or mommy) doesn't put a .30-06 round through his head first...

That is all.

I'll gladly donate the rifle, the bullet and the trigger finger.

When will we ever learn that bastards that do this do not deserve to live on death row?

I'm right there with you, only substitute "rifle" and "bullet" with "four pound masonry sledge"...

I really hope authorities find the person or people responsible for this heinous crime and give them the death penalty immediately upon conviction. Forget appeals!

My sister, who is a good judge of things, says the parents are involved. We'll see.

And to those against the death penalty who think he shouldn't get the needle for this because he's "sick", I offer them this quote from a wise man:

"I couldn't see but two possibilities. Either he couldn't be made well - in which case he was better dead for his own sake and for the safety of others - or he could be treated and made sane. In which case (it seemed to me) if he ever became sane enough for civilized society... and thought over what he had done while he was "sick" - what could be left for him but suicide? How could he live with himself?
And suppose he escaped before he was cured and did the same thing again? And maybe again? How do you explain that to bereaved parents?"

Heinlein had it right, for monsters like that. Kill 'em. If they can be cured, you're doing them a favor. If they can't be cured, they're too dangerous to let live.

Yep. Have 'em do the Danny Deever.

And libertyman, if Sis Libertyman's hunch is correct (G-d forbid), then the only thing it changes is the number of people who need killin'...

Not just kill them, subject them to torture. You know how we're not supposed to use torture to recover intelligence from POWs? Let our soldiers and other Agencies (CIA, FBI) practice torture methods on these sick bastards. There was a girl back home in Hawaii who was raped and murdered a few years back. She was still in lower elementary school. They found her body along a hiking trail... and the guy who did all of that to her was her sister's boyfriend. Yup, and he only got a life sentence. Every state needs the death penalty, and we need to learn to not be afraid to use it!!

The responsible thing to do would be to not publicize the name and face of the suspect, but once convicted, televize the execution, again not showing the face or giving the name.
Send a message to all potential future scum: you will not get your 15 minutes of fame, you will die like a nameless worthless piece of scum.

In cases like this, I keep thinking of an old chinese trick involving a chair, restraints, a metal tube, a hungry rat and fire.

it seems florida is the epicenter for this sort of thing lately (jessie lunsford, trenton duckett, haleigh cummings, caylee anthony) and now this...i feel so sick, so sad, so enraged...as a floridian it's difficult at times not to just stop strangers on the street and demand to know what our state has become. i cannot currently find the words to describe just how distraught and disgusted i am.

we must pray for the family's comfort, it's doubtful they have the strength to do it for themselves.

tortured? no, not good enough. i want to stand at the gates of hell and hear the inhuman wailing of his spirit as it settles into eternal damnation. then i want to (bodily function) on his (terrible place to have someone bodily function on you) so that he feels a moment of relief so that there is a second wail of horror as eternal damnation sets in for the second time.
