Open Invitation for New Shooters
Just want to extend an open invitation to all potential new shooters in the Northern Virginia area. If you have never shot a firearm, or would like to get back into the shooting sports, or are an accomplished shooter who'd like to try something in my arsenal, give me a shout.
New shooters get range time, targets, gun use and ammo on me. I've even got extra eye and ear protection - all you have to do is show up.

I wonder how many people are aware of the origin of "5.11"?
Hint: My shoot-me vest still says "Royal Robbins" on the label...
IIRC, weren't they started by rock climbers?
Yup. 5.11 Tactical is a spinoff of the Royal Robbins line of general outdoor clothing. Which became popular with cops and soldiers and shooters in general, and so they started a "tactical" division which eventually became its own company...
(5.11 refers to a super tough and dangerous clim in the Yosemite Decimal System.
