The Pantsless One Speaks!

Robb's got a video review of Magtech ammo up at Guns, Holsters, and Gear.

I sure wish I could review ammo. I can't, you see, because the state of MA, in its infinite "wisdom", has decided that the greatest threat to its law-abiding citizens is the ability to order ammunition online. They require a MA-based address and - wait for it - a permit to sell ammunition. Scratch any anti-gun regulation and there's a trail of benjamins behind it - they don't want to stop mail order ammunition, they just want their piece of the action first.

Video reviews, though, intrigue me - although I think I might scare too many people with my ugly mug...

That is all.

Dude, it's the Internet. Nobody cares unless you're auditioning for a presenter's spot on Naked News.

Thanks for bringing a breath of realism to gun control commentary. I confess to getting a little bored with the "OMG they hate me because I have a gun!" attitude some people take. Gun control isn't about hating gun owners, it's not giving a damn about them on the way to some other goal - money, world domination, whatever.

There are 49 (or perhaps 57) other States. At least half of them are way better than your current Peoples Republic of residence visavi gun laws. Life is pretty good down South.

Dave,

Absolutely. I'm sure that there are a few True Believers out there who *really* do hate guns and want them gone.

The *VAST* majority have some *other* stake in the matter, be it a politician looking to use gun control as a "wedge" issue or a gungrabber looking to stay relevant for more Joyce Foundation funding...

45AC+P,

I'd wager that 44-45 states are better than MA (WI and IL are out because of straight up no CCW; NJ, CA, and NY are on a par with MA for stupid gun laws); MD is stupid about CCW but better in most other areas.

Believe me, I am not staying here for my health...

As long as I'm ranting:

I've noticed several people trying to encourage Jay to move to a more accommodating state. (I think Borepatch was even taking up a collection.) C'mon, people, you're asking a man to give up his home? Would you expect Paul Revere to beat feet for Louisiana when he saw the lights in the Old North Church?

That's not what the Second Amendment is about. Hang in there, Jay. Keep up the good fight.

Discretion is the better part of valor, Dave. Paul Revere sounded the alarm and a war began. If there had been a free(r) country just a couple of hundred miles away, leaving Massachusetts to the British might have been a better decision.
