By The Numbers...

Heh. By my reckoning, this is post number 5150. The teenager of the 1980s in me can't help but think of the first "Van Hagar" album of the same name, which had such ass-kicking tunes as this:

I think I woke up every single day in college to this song. I remember freshman year getting my roommate off to finals by cranking my stereo to maximum and putting this tape in... Yeah, tape - that was all you could get in 1988! Nothing like Eddie's screamin' guitar riff to really kick things in to high gear.

5,150 posts - and still crazy here at MArooned!

That is all.

You think Glock v. 1911 or AK v. AR is bad? Watch this:

Van Halen was better with Sammy Hagar singing than they were with David Lee Roth.

By a lot.

Speaker: Oh, please. Both of them were just something you had to put up with so you could listen to the Van Halen kids play.

Kind of like listening to Mark Knopfler sing just to get to the guitar solo.

Heh! Small world...

My buddy and his roommate in college woke every morning to the wonderful sounds of "Running With The Devil" every morning at about 7.
This was in 92, so they actually had a CD player. Which, as I recall, *must* have gone to 11. Sounded like a train was coming through the dorm.
:-) Good times...

Second greatest Halen album ever. (Balance is still #1.)

Congratulations. 5150 is quite a feat.

And it brings to mind another Sammy moment... "Oh shit, it's 5150 time!"

Pfft. The first four tracks on Van Halen's eponymous 1978 debut pretty much pwn everything else the band ever did, with Roth OR Hagar.
