Police investigate fatal south Eugene shooting
Mara Hertzberg tried to return to her southeast Eugene home on Thursday afternoon after a brief outing, but was stopped halfway up the hill by crime scene tape and police officers.As often happens with these stories, the "reporting" is few and far between, but for now, it sure looks like the son dispatched a goblin. We'll refrain from commentary on the 26 year old living with mom & dad; perhaps he's simply a victim of Obamanomics and was staying with mom & dad to get back on his feet. In any case, his lifestyle is completely immaterial to the fact that he was faced with what could very well have been a dangerous encounter...
A short time later, she found out what drew law enforcement officers to the 3300 block of Stoney Ridge Road. “My son shot somebody,” she said.

Remember Eugene is a college town too. Though Baldr propbably shatba brick when the Oregon supreme court said sudents could carry.
