How Do You Know You're Not in MA?

Just read this story:

Pennsylvania judge charged over dismissing her own traffic tickets
LANCASTER, Pa. – A judge in Lancaster, Pa., was removed from the bench and charged with numerous criminal offenses Monday after allegedly dismissing her own traffic tickets.

District Judge Kelly S. Ballentine, 43, is accused of dismissing three tickets issued to her -- including one for an expired registration on her BMW -- in 2010 and 2011, state Attorney General Linda Kelly said in a statement. The other two citations related to parking violations in front of her home.
Removed from the bench and charged with criminal offenses. Imagine the nerve of those PA officials, deigning to charge a judge - a judge! of all people - with common crimes! Don't they know rules are for the little people only? What's the point in becoming a judge, charged with overseeing the fair and judicious application of the law if you can't violate the traffic laws at will?

In MA they'd have given her a pay raise and an apology for wasting her time - she could be letting drunk drivers go free instead!

That is all.

Don't judges have expense reports? Just pay the thing then turn right around and put it on your expense report. When questioned, the justification is: "They were the result of tickets received in the course of my official duties."

Whoa... I felt a little like a liberal there while I typed that.

This sort of thing, though, reminds me of an old joke: What do you call an attorney who graduated at the bottom of his class?

"Your honor."

We're done here.

I know how I can tell I'm not in Massachusetts. I can open the drawer and look at the new Magpuls.
