Woman Charged With Stealing Fire Department Ambulance
CHICAGO (STMW) – A 30-year-old West Side woman was driving under the influence Sunday night when, according to police, she got behind the wheel of a Chicago Fire Department ambulance that was parked outside a South Side hospital, and took it for a ride, crashing it into some parked cars about a mile away. The ambulance was stolen from the emergency room parking area at Saint Bernard Hospital, in the 300 block of West 64th Street, about 10:45 p.m. Sunday, police and fire officials said.
Because, you know, driving while intoxicated wasn't bad enough. Oh, no. We had to steal a large, lumbering, VERY CONSPICUOUS vehicle. With flashing lights. About the only way this could have ended worse would have been if she'd crashed into a police car.
Now, granted, had this been MA they'd have just let her go - assuming she was President Obama's long-lost cousin...
That is all.

I'd almost bet real money the words "Ooooh, shiny!" were spoken at some point in the adventure.
A.) Did she have the lights and siren on? 'Cuz if you're gonna steal an ambo why not?
B.) Best response time to an accident ever. Ambo was there before the hubcap stopped rolling.
