In light of Robb's artful KRISS shot from last Friday, I knew that I needed an updated shot of *my* KRISS Super V Vector for today's pic:
The astute viewer will note the addition of a forend grip as well as a TruGlo red/green dot sight. I'd like to say that I spared no expense outfitting the KRISS here, but that would be a blatant lie, mind you; the grip and the sight cost me under $65 shipped from Amazon... However, even with that inexpensive sight, the KRISS has shown exceptional accuracy, putting shots into quarter-sized groups at 25 feet, consistent 2" groups at 50 feet, and 4-5" groups at 25 yards. Fired rapidly, with me giggling uncontrollably the whole time.
I've got to say, this is easily one of the most fun guns I've had the opportunity to shoot. The recoil is non-existent - .45 ACP out of a light handgun isn't too bad; out of a shoulder-borne arm it's just about negligible, and with the KRISS recoil method it's essentially zero. Add to that Buck Rogers gee-whiz space blaster looks and the general "Whoa, what is *that*?" and it'll draw a crowd every time it comes out of the case.
Time's running short on this testing & evaluation sample (hey, guys, any chance of an extension???), so I've got to get it to the range this weekend - I know, I know, it's a rough life...
That is all.

Jay,
You still have the Hipoint 4595?
Brad
*Still*? I haven't gotten it yet, Mr. "Lets-The-Cat-Outta-the-Bag"...
:)
Oh. My bad. I was hoping to help with the "compare and contrast" effort. Guess that one's blown totally to hades.
So, Jay... At some point I'd like to hear your new and improved thoughts on pistol caliber carbines.
Wally, my thoughts on pistol caliber carbines haven't changed much at all.
Rifles are rifles, and pistols are pistols. I'll take a .223 over a 9mm or a .45 any day for knock-down power, so if I'm reaching for a rifle, it might as well be in a rifle caliber.
Now, that doesn't mean that pistol caliber carbines aren't fun as all get-out... :)
