Man's fatal shooting of intruder in Winter Haven justified, sheriff says
I don't know what the recently deceased may have put into his system that would make him act that way, but he broke into the wrong house this time. The report was that he had been acting erratically at other houses in the neighborhood before breaking into Cornwell's home - and the sheriff himself said that this was a perfect case of Castle Doctrine. Here's the kicker - this homeowner had been involved in another shoot, albeit non-fatal, several years before...WINTER HAVEN: -- A Winter Haven man justifiably shot and killed an enraged intruder this morning, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.Judd, who addressed the media Sunday morning, said William Cornwell, 33, was protecting his family when he shot a man who stormed into his home on the 400 block of Lake Daisy Drive about 4 a.m.
When you bang on someone's door yelling and screaming at them - even though you don't know them - and eventually break into their home, don't be surprised when you receive a 230 grain attitude adjustment...
Dead Goblin Count: 300
That is all.
