Making The Bradys Cry...

My son, having a blast with a 10/22 and some steel targets from MGM Targets:

There's just something about a young man and his evil black assault rifle... *sniff*

That is all.

I counted 30 rounds. Thought you fellows in Mass could only be trusted with 10.

Very nice! The 'ringing' of steel is instant feedback, and FUN too!

That first *TING* made me grin. I need to get a few plates for outdoor .22 plinking.

LIbertyman,

Oh, but if we pay a greatly overinflated and artificial price, we can buy a 30 round magazine made nearly 20 years ago. You know, because 20 year old magazines are far less deadly than new ones...

OldNFO,

Exactly! I can't want for him to move up to centerfire so the *ping* is more pronounced.

ZerCool,

Check out the MGM autopoppers. For under $100, you get the same target shown in the video (on the right) which has withstood several thousand hits of .22LR with only a quick Krylon job needed to restore it to new... :)

I notice the pings come closer together the more he shoots. He's headed in the right direction!

Must be nice to shoot at a range that allows steel targets.

Did you record that with your phone? I noticed the sound didn't seem to stay muted for very long after each report. In some shooting videos on Youtube it takes the sound a half a second to come back up to normal volume.

I know that steel targets are good for a beginner and I wish my range had them. Does your range allow water bottles or clay pigeons? When I teach new shooters I start with the shoot N C targets because plinking is only allowed at 50 yds
