Joe Biden puts Mitt Romney in Bush league
KEENE, N.H. — A feisty Vice President Joe Biden preached to the converted yesterday, telling a crowd of self-described “dyed-in-the-wool” Democrats that presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney has it all wrong when he tells voters that things “have gotten much worse” during the Obama presidency.
Biden showed up at Keene State College’s Young Student Center with a chart that showed mounting job losses during the final months of the George W. Bush administration, then a leveling off after President Obama took over the Oval Office.Three and a half years into Obama's presidency and they're STILL blaming Bush. This is a lot like Bob Dole running in 1996 as "I'm not Bill Clinton" here, only Clinton was at least the acting president, not a dude who hadn't been in office for nearly four years. I also like how they're trying to push this "Happy Days Are Here Again" BS, like the economy's just rebounding by leaps and bounds now that we've got Barack Obama's steady hand on the tiller - oh, except those eeeeeevil Republicans are blocking any real recovery.
Guys, look. I have no interest in seeing you win in November. Fortunately, the GOP is about to nominate someone that I also have no interest in seeing win in November, so I can offer some advice. First, you had complete control for two years. Democrats controlled the House, Senate, and White House. Anything that the GOP has done since taking control of the House in January of last year is immaterial as it pertains to what you inherited from George W. Bush. You and your party had control for two years.
Running against the George W. Bush boogeyman isn't going to work as well in 2012 as it did in 2008. People have had four years of Barack Obama in the White House, and the old saw about "Are you better off now than you were four years ago" is going to rear its ugly head. You can blame the House GOP all you want, but you're the one running for the office. "First rule of leadership: Everything is your fault." (Hopper) Blaming Bush for the economy worked for *maybe* the first year or so; everything since then has been all your doing - or lack of doing.
And, really, playing the "things are great! Ignore the man behind the curtain" schtick isn't fooling anyone except perhaps your lapdogs in the media...
That is all.

Meh... Romney is the lesser of two evils...
It'll play pretty good going against the the candidate who lost in the Primaries against John McCain.
Its not like anybody said: "Boy I wish that asshole McCain was President!" in the last 3 years!
Actually, the dems controlled both Houses of Congress from 2006 through 2010. That's four full years.
They have no one to blame except themselves. But...they can't do that. It's too near the truth and they're pathologically incapable of speaking the truth.
Biden's a good person to have say things like that. The people who believe it are already convinced, and the people who recognize it for BS will just roll their eyes and say, "There goes Joe running off at the mouth again."
Has anybody heard any rumors of who Mittens might choose as a running mate? I'm not too fond of either him or Obama, so my choice might end up being based on the running mates. I wouldn't need much enticement to vote against Biden.

Actually, I think a lot of people have said that over the past three years. I know I have.
Remember, Ronald Reagan lost the nomination in 1976. Didn't seem to hurt him.
Romney, with a Republican controlled House and Senate will be a lot better than Obama.
