Time for a New Game!

This one's a tough one. It's called "Identify This".

Here's "this":

And yes, the picture has been left deliberately without anything for scale on purpose. Could be 2" long, could be three feet. Your job, should you choose to accept it, is to propose just what this item is and/or could be used for. Here's a couple hints: 1. It's not quite finished; and 2. It's made by someone most folks should be reasonably familiar with.

So, what do you think it is?

That is all.

Some type of muzzle device from the Mad Genius.

Flash suppressor for your build.

Muzzle break was my first guess, but then I though maybe its an AR-15 bolt with a lot of machining to go still. Either way, I wouldn't want it thrown at my head, looks solid.

My money's on a flash suppressor. By the way, you left something in the picture for scale. The edge of the fabric is at the top.

I'm going with muzzle break, rather than flash suppressor, but yeah, muzzle device.

Also, the fabric & machining marks suggest that it's not big.

Almost looks like a gas piston for a shotgun.

"And yes, the picture has been left deliberately without anything for scale on purpose" - except you photographed it on a piece of cloth with a hem stitched on it.

It's a custom replacement valve stem for one of the Earthf**ker's tires.

That is, without a doubt, the must UNCOMFORTABLE looking butt plug I have ever seen.

Sorry, hospital's making me a little punchy.

Espresso machine.

Almost looks to me like it could be a piece of an optic. Looks a bit large to be a muzzle device.

I'm going with Fetzer Valve

Clearly an AR part on a potholder. I don't know all the parts of an AR so no clue what specifically. But it doesn't say "fill your hand..." on it so clearly it's not finished.

If it's for Jay's AR, it CAN'T be a flash suppressor; that makes a rifle turn into an eeeeevil baby-killing machine here in the Commiewealth of Marxachusetts. Well, if the receiver was made after '94, that is. Doesn't seem to have that effect on pre-ban rifles.

So I'd guess it's a muzzle break in progress.

Looks like a side mounted charging handle. To mount to what, I've no idea.

Could also be a sort of QD stud. Does S&W plan to make a punt-gun to fit it?

Actually looks like a lightsaber's blade emitter to me.

Yes, I am a nerd.

May be way off, but it bears a striking resemblance to a sub-caliber chamber insert.

Billet automotive door lock button.

Or, stembolt.

It's the head of a gas piston, gas valve, gas regulator etc...

I'm kinda drifting to what ASM826, mentioned.
If he's right, good call.
