Convenience store clerk shoots and kills robber
A Huntsville store clerk fought back when an armed robber entered his store overnight.
Huntsville Police said the clerk at the Atlantis Corner store on Old Monrovia Road was alone when Rodney Cordell Pride entered the business around 9 p.m. Police said he was armed and intended to rob the store. There's the standard statement from the police about not taking these "drastic" measures, about giving the robbers what they want, blah blah blah. Quite frankly, it's sickening. I understand that in today's day and age they almost have to say it, but still, it would be refreshing, for once, to hear "Gee, if more people shot crooks dead, there'd be fewer crooks". Especially when the crooks are choirboys like this latest addition:
Police believe Pride may be connected to several other gas station robberies in the area. According to court documents he had a number of previous drug and robbery charges.Yep. On drugs and committing armed robbery - with a handgun, mind you, a weapon he was Federally prohibited from possessing. Yeah. How's that gun control working out for you? And, yet again, we see a career criminal taking advantage of the revolving door justice system. You notice they never *give* the "number" of previous arrests? You think that might be because the number is often double digits?
In any case, there's one less criminal preying on people now.
Dead Goblin Count: 303
That is all.
