Close, But No Cigar

Reader Shamandin sends in this almost DGC:

Pizza delivery man shoots attempted robber
RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A pizza delivery driver shot a man who he says attempted to rob him early Tuesday morning in Downtown Richmond, according to Richmond Police.
19-year-old man Michael T. Caballero tried to rob the pizza delivery man with a stun gun near Foushee and Broad streets around 2:15 a.m., police said. The 33-year-old pizza driver shot him in the leg in self-defense, according to police. He was not injured.
Now, far be it from me to speculate, but part of me hopes the scene from "Crocodile Dundee" played out here:

[Robber] "Give me all your money!"

[Pizza Delivery Guy (PDG)] "The hell you say."

[Robber] "I have a gun!"

[PDG] "That's not a gun. THIS is a gun"

[Glock] "BANG!"

[Robber] "OW! OW! OW! OW! OW!"

Glad the good guy is okay, better that the goblin is facing serious charges, best if the pizza guy is not charged or fired.

That is all.

" best if the pizza guy is not charged or fired."

That will depend on if the pizza place is corporate-owned or a mom-and-pop place. If it's corporate-owned he's probably toast, if it's private it will be up to mom and pop whether he violated their policy on carrying. Even with mom and pop it's easier to fire the employee than risk a lawsuit.

In a just world the pizza shop owner will pay for sending him to marksmanship training so he learns what "center mass" is and how to put the holes there.
