After posting last Friday's gun pr0n about the Ruger 10/22 Takedown I received for T&E, I got an e-mail from Kevin from Davidson's. He sent along a video taken when Ruger CEO Mike Fifer stopped by to demo the Takedown 10/22:
One thing I didn't realize was that the bag the Takedown 10/22 comes in serves as a benchrest - neat!
That is all.

I'm using that bag to contain:
1 Henry USSR (their AR& version, which WORKS)
and
1 Marlin papoose
The 10/22TD lives with the other 10/22s, and goes in a rifle sock for transport
I picked one up a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I could use to tighten my grouping up a little (3" @ 50 yds) but after shooting 6, breaking it down, and shooting another 6, I can say the rifle did not lose zero.
OK the bag is cool.
Almost makes me want one...
Just wish they shaves off a little more weight.
The 10/22 compact is 4.5 lbs, the TD 4.67 lbs.
Marlin Papoose 3.25 lbs.
(Note I've had a 10/22 standard for 20 years and it is like part of my arm.)
Does it float? :-)
