Means I've earned this:
I've been a card-carrying member of the AMA for 15 years now. Took me a couple years to join up after getting my motorcycle license, but I've been a member since 1997. The AMA is to motorcycling and motorcyclist's rights like the NRA is for guns and gun owners' rights - they may not do everything we want, but we'd be in a much worse place if they didn't exist. If you ride a motorcycle and aren't an AMA member, it's worth looking into joining - you get a magazine and everything!
And unlike the NRA they won't try to sell you "official AMA wine"...
That is all.

Congrats!... My gal and I agree... we're one year from twenty-five which means automatic life-time AMA membership... that's a lot of pins in a row... :-)
If you ever get to Ohio, let us know, but definitely stop at the AMA headquarters and museum just east of Columbus... great place to visit...

Hahaha! I just got the NRA Wine email last week. I live between the Finger Lakes and Niagara wine regions. I think I have that covered. What really bums me out is the NRA hearing aid discounts.
Is it a magazine or a clip?

I should probably rejoin. Let my membership lapse mumble20mumble years ago, along with my ARRL membership when times were lean.
It'd be interesting to see how much overlap there is among the AMA, NRA, and ARRL memberships. I'm in 2 of the 3 so far.
Yeah, the overlap could be interesting... :-)
I suspect quite a bit of overlap.
All three activities; motorcycles, firearms, and ham radio, tend to attract people who value freedom and self sufficiency.
