Mini motorcycle stolen from sick boy
LOWELL, Mass. - Dylan Thompson has been through a lot in his 10 years. But after spending most of his life fighting neurofibromatosis, the last thing the young boy needed was to have his motorcycle stolen.Apparently it was a gift from a local pub to the young man after a motorcycle run to help raise money for neurofibromatosis research. And some crackhead swiped it from their house, more than likely to sell to get their next fix.
Dylan's family discovered the theft about 11 a.m. Sunday, according to the Lowell Sun.
If there's a special level of hell - worse than that for people who talk in movies - I hope that crackhead rots there.
That is all.

Jay,
Here's a wild hair up my ass idea . . . let's organize a Northeast Bloggers outing to TJ Callahan's to show support for Dylan. We could ask that the funds from the outing be put towards a new motor bike for Dylan, this one with an appropriately strong locking system.
In the mean time, I'll be watching Craigslist.
What say you?
Brad
Brad,
That's not a bad idea at all. In fact, I'd like to see a ride to TJ Callahan's - I know there's a fair number of MA gunnie bikers (or just bikers with 2A proclivities).
Let me kick this around and see what we can come up with. Would be a great chance to help a little boy out...
We could have a blogmeet there at TJ Callahan's soon and raise a few bucks.
That is just pathetic... and I TRULY hope the cops get these @$&*$# turds...
The nice thing about crackheads is that they come with their very own built-in self-destruct system.
My first thought was to raise money to replace the bike for him, until I came to this part:
Dylan's mother, Dawn Thompson, said the family doesn't want to replace the motorcycle, though they would still love to find it, or at least make sure whoever stole it doesn't do anything similar again.
I guess as much as he loves it, he has no place to really ride it where he lives. :(
I hope the bikers who had the fund raiser find the bastard first.
If the cops find him they'll turn him over to the Mass. "Justice" system.
It pains and saddens me that I am never around when these lowlifes perpetrate their crimes. I like Stretch's idea A LOT! I will follow your page as always, Jay, and hope there's a bright light at the end of this for Dylan and his family.
