Police say shooter in Greenway slaying may have been acting in self-defense
Boston police say a man who fatally shot another man near the waterfront Sunday morning may have been acting in self-defense.
Police and Suffolk prosecutors investigating the shooting believe a verbal altercation led to shots being fired by two individuals near Broad Street and Surface Artery, police said in a statement.Other reports are that the recently dispatched goblin also had a firearm on his person; it is unclear whether he fired or not. In the comments to the story there are the usual bleeding hearts about the deceased being an "unarmed" man; apparently they missed the stories about people being beaten to death by "unarmed" people. If the deceased had a weapon on his person, even unfired, it should be an open and shut case.
Because it's MA, I fully expect the shooter to at least be charged and certainly lose his LTC...
Dead Goblin Count: 317
That is all.

That is truly sad if true... WHY should he lose his permit for defending himself???
Because this is Massachusetts. To presume to want a firearm of your very own is bad enough; actually shooting it is inexcusable, and a bad example for The Children besides.
So you carry a firearm you know you only be able to use once?
Basically, I'd be more worried about it the closer to Boston I got too.
