Today's gun pic comes to us courtesy of Mark at Rimfire Designs:
It's a Springfield Armory mil-spec 1911. It's got night sights, a trigger job, skeletonized hammer, extended beavertail, and, of course, custom Peruvian walnut grips. I like how Mark sent it in with the proto-grips, too. You know how he makes the grips, right? He takes the block of wood and cuts away anything that's not a grip.
Any day you can see a 1911 with custom touches and handmade grips it's a good day...
