Man, it's screaming up on us, isn't it? Since Christmas is less than two weeks away (cue blind screaming panic), we really need to nail down some specifics ASAP. The original post is here, and I'll just get right to the standard format.
What? Northeast Blogger Winter Gathering.
Who?
Any and all bloggers, commenters, readers, lurkers, etc. in the
Northeast area, or those passing through, or anyone crazy enough to show
up.
When? I'm going to have to make an executive decision here and say Saturday, January 5th. Saturday December 29th didn't seem to work for most folks, and I realized something about Saturday January 12th: I'm leaving for SHOT Show the next morning. Nope, don't want to be out until all hours before I have to get on a plane, thank you... We have historically
started the dinner portion around 6 or 7 and go until the last person
leaves (and at that, we're usually out in the parking lot yammering away
for another hour or so...)
Where? I think we've ruled out Portsmouth, but there's plenty of places in Manchester, Nashua, or Salem. KC's Rib Shack has some excellent food; Jillian's has billiards after for places in Manchester. There's a ton of places in Salem, NH and it's right off the highway - and by January 5th the holiday crowds are done. Or maybe someplace I haven't thought of! We're looking for a place
that's not terribly crowded and can handle a crowd of 20 - 30 people -
thoughts and suggestions are welcome!
Why? Folks
getting together to enjoy good food, great beer, and superlative
company. Bring your appetite, a whistle for wetting, and your best
stories to tell. Sometimes we embarrass ourselves playing pool
afterwards...
Attendees:
Mopar & Cher
Andrew
Paul
Bandit
TOTWTYTR
Doubletrouble & Mrs.
Possible
Wally & A.
Heath & CF
Phil R.
A super special mystery guest to be named later - think rock star, though!
Okay, so let's nail down a location and make this official!
That is all.

Just pick something soon so I can make hotel reservations.
Count me and the Mrs in. . . .
With the guest list as it currently stands, Salem might be workable. We could have dinner at Polcaris and then play pool down the road aways...
There's a nice hotel just up 93 at exit two, believe it's a Holiday Inn...
Thoughts?
I hate Salem, but it's just for one night. I defer to y'all. just let us know
I'm in and so are the SCI-FIs!
So it looks like the total is up to 14-20 people? I've never been to Polcaris so I don't know how large a group they can handle well. On the plus side, it looks like they are open 2-3hrs later then KC's is.
If Portsmouth is out, I'm leaning towards Manchester.
We're in
working on getting the night off. in for wherever.
In for two. Salem is OK.
If only it were a bit closer!
Once again, I'm out. I'm sailing around St. Maarten, being a real merchant mariner for once. This is one of those rare times when I'd actually rather be at work, as it's 85 and sunny every day, and did I mention I'm in St. Maarten?
