My #1 blogdaughter has a challenge for you:
In lieu of actual content, I’ve held all of these paying jobs except one. You get to guess which one.She then goes on to list a series of different jobs, all but one of which she has actually held. Go take a read and leave your guess.
What the heck, I like it. I think it's a great idea. I like it so much, I'm stealing it. I've held all of the following except one:
- Bagger at a local supermarket
- Housepainter for one of those college-student painter services
- Pothole filler and brush removal for the town Highway Department
- Landscaper for a local groundskeeper
- Bouncer at a pool hall/bar
- Resident assistant in a college dormitory
- Product Development chemist at a large chemical company
- Busboy at a diner in town
- Research assistant at a state university
- Sales weasel at an undisclosed location
That is all.

Wild guess, I'd say bouncer.
Second for bouncer. Only because if I were shown your picture and asked what employment you held, that'd be my guess...so that's the most likely one that you've never done.
Reverse psychology and all that.
I'd say the highway dept gig...
Not a housepainter, I'll bet.
I'll go third for the bouncer.
I'll vote with l'man- painter.
No one's got it yet...
Landscaper, trees tremble at the mention of Jay's name.
I'll do bouncer as well.
Got to be a bouncer....Have you seen how skinny he is in that kilt?!!?!?!
Steve
Grocery store bagger.
RA at College dorm. RA's being a fairly recent addition
NotDilbert
RA is my guess as well. I didn't do that because I knew I'd have to hurt one of the sorry little bastards, and I figure you might have that same level of patience with idiocy...
landscaper
I'm going RA as well. Followed closely by research assistant (which, coincidentally, is also an RA)
I say RA also.
Riley
NotDilbert: We had RAs in the dorm at my college back in the 1970s. Jay easily fits within that time frame.
I'm gonna go with product development chemist.
I cannot see this man as a busboy. That's my guess.
My vote is "sales weasel at an undisclosed location", as it is the only job described less than "straight on".
NotDilbert wins!
I was never a Resident Assistant. My Freshman year I applied to be an RA, but wasn't chosen at the time.
Everything else on that list I have done...
I'd guess product deveopment chemist.
another vote for sales weasel, since it's about the only non-productive job in the lineup.
How sad is it that there are still people guessing after the answer has been given out?
