Oddball Story of the Day #2

Hmm. I don't know what that says about my day that I've had two oddball stories... This one's fresh off the #1BNN (#1 Blogdaughter News Network), and I think someone's been playing too much Earn To Die...

California man who said he stole big-rig to flee zombies pleads guilty

TEMECULA, Calif. – A Tennessee man who stole a big-rig truck in California, caused several accidents and told investigators he was fleeing zombies when he did it has pleaded guilty to several felonies. 

U-T San Diego reports Jerimiah Hartline pleaded guilty Monday to assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run causing death or injury, and vehicle theft. He could get five years in prison.

I got nothing here. Apparently the dude "stowed away" in the truck in TN, and stole it in CA, meaning that he went pretty much cross-country hidden somewhere in the truck. Sure, there's the possibility that he was a passenger that they don't want to admit to or something, but he had to have been in that truck for a good 2-3 days - it's not like he was just drunk here.

At least he'll get a nice, zombie-free prison cell for a while...
