Wash. parents' ruse snares man wooing daughter
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A father who discovered his 15-year-old daughter was being wooed on Facebook by a man twice her age took matters into his own hands.Heh. That's a euphemism, folks, for "beat the everlovin' stuffing out of him". And were I on the jury, I would vote to acquit the father of all assault charges. Jury of your peers and all, right?
He hatched a Facebook ruse that drew the 30-year-old Federal Way man to Spokane earlier this month. Then the father and a couple of his buddies staked out the arranged meeting spot and blocked the man's escape until police arrived.

I've been to prison -- it ain't so bad.
Arrested men file lawsuits. Missing men tell no tales. Nor do they show up in gun violence statistics.
A very good old friend in New Brunswick used to smile and say, "That's easy! If he's never been, take him fishing." I'd wonder why in the world you'd want to go teach such relaxing recreation with such a heel.
He'd smile some more and say, "No one ever seems to notice how many strangers went out on a fishing trip. They only notice how many came back."
Read the story. I wonder about that last sentence myself.

Was he held, or was he able to even get up off the ground. (without help)

I'd definitely be visiting the pig farm it that were me. And IF for some reason he made it to jail you can bet the farm I'd pay off whoever I had to for the other inmates to find out what he was in for.

Funny but true: My daughter's first boyfriend just happened to come over to our house, for the very first time, when I was sitting in the living room checking out something on my Remington 870. It made quite the impression. He did not last long. All the others since then were made quite aware of my passion for guns and my passion as a protective father. Well, it took quite a few years and quite a few boyfriends but she was married two weeks ago today. He knows and understands and the rules and the consequences and promised me, he will not break them - ever.
I live here in Spokane, and when I saw that in the paper, I had a nice huge grin on my face. It helped that the front page story was about a burglar getting caught looking down the business end of a shotgun.

Your headline is off a bit. I doubt many 30 year old men going to meet 15 year old girls tell anyone where they're going, and certainly not why.
They aren't pretty young white girls so the story would be unlikely to make even the front page of the local paper.
