Police: Pennsylvania man beat wife with frozen meat

ALIQUIPPA, Pa. –  Authorities say a western Pennsylvania man beat his wife with a package of frozen ground beef, then ran away when police were called. 

Police were called to the Aliquippa home of 51-year-old William Neugebauer on Tuesday for a report of a dispute with his wife. They found Wendy Neugebauer suffering from swelling on her rib cage, where she told police her husband hit her with the meat.

I wonder how hard the cop laughed (after putting the phone down) when told that her husband was beating her with his meat? Now, don't get me wrong, I don't condone, support, nor stand for domestic violence in any form (nor by practiced by either gender). But damn, AP headline writers, really? Could y'all get past middle school humor? 

I know it will come as a shock to exactly no one that the man was also charged with public intoxication as well as assault...
