Iowa man arrested after fight with brother over peanut butter and jelly sandwiches
DES MOINES, Iowa – Police say an Iowa man was arrested after he pulled a knife on his brother during a fight over peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.Folks, if you are in your damn 50s and you're pulling a knife on someone because you think they've had too many PBJs, you need to stop and take a very serious look at your life and priorities. Now, I get it. This may very well have been the very last straw in a long-running fight between the two brothers.
The Des Moines Register reports (http://dmreg.co/1e5JdAD ) that Jerome Davis was arrested on Friday after the confrontation with his brother in their Des Moines home. Both men are in their 50s.
But damn, you pulled a weapon on your own flesh and blood? Over $5 worth of peanut butter, jelly, and bread? Whatever the issues may have been, are they worth assault charges? A potential felony on your record? It just goes to show that "redneck" is a state of mind, not a state in the union.
Because if you've ever pulled a knife on kin over a sandwich, you might just be a redneck.

But what if it was the last P&J sandwich in the house? And your brother comes over and takes a bite out of it and laughs at you!
I think I did that to my brother one time and as I recall, it was 45 or so years ago, he did in fact punch me.
