Open Invitation for New Shooters
Just want to extend an open invitation to all potential new shooters in the Northern Virginia area. If you have never shot a firearm, or would like to get back into the shooting sports, or are an accomplished shooter who'd like to try something in my arsenal, give me a shout.
New shooters get range time, targets, gun use and ammo on me. I've even got extra eye and ear protection - all you have to do is show up.

Our local Friends of the NRA banquet is on the 12th. With luck, I may have another $20 gun (or two).
I already spent my tax refund on a couple of cowboy guns, a Ruger Vaquero and a Puma 92, both in .45 Colt. Oh, and a Stoeger double barrel shotgun. Going to try my hand at cowboy action shooting.

I have a Serbu BFG-50 on order, it's actual due in around BAG day. (fingers crossed)
Unfortunately, due to the fact that I foolishly took advantage of the first home buyer's credit in 2008 - I now owe the tax man about $6k this year. No guns for me. I has a sad.

My new acquisition is shipping tomorrow and should be to me by the 15th.
sadly I'm getting a couple of root canals instead of a new gun. maybe next year.
I don't get sizable refunds anymore since I dialed in my witholdings. I owe a little bit, actually.
Picking up an LCP
My SBR should be free of the paperwork mess about then...or at least ready for the next step in the paperwork maze!
I couldn't wait and got a Smith & Wesson M&P 45 last week. Took it to the NRA range Saturday. Sweet!
Already picked up a c96 Bolo Mauser
I got the Appleseed edition Marlin 795 earlier this year, and I'm about to get a house, so I'm afraid buy a gun day ain't happenin' for me this year.
Torn badly between a good shotgun or a .22 pistol to train some new shooters....heeellppp.
Did taxes early, got a new Rossi 92 stainless in 44 mag (yeah light weight deer rifle!) and a hi point carbine 4595

Ain't gonna be no new guns this year, and not because of the taxman; gotta navigate the insurance company maze and get the idiot that totaled our truck and brand-new trailer (and nearly killed my wife, kiddo, and I) to pay up for the damages he caused.
Don't get hit by an 18-wheeler, folks. It messes with BAG Day, and isn't a fun ride.
